Fixology is a UK software development company. We design, build and support bespoke web applications, mobile apps, portals and internal systems for businesses that have outgrown spreadsheets and off-the-shelf tools, or want to build a product of their own.
Why we exist
Most UK businesses run on a patchwork: a CRM nobody fully uses, three spreadsheets that hold the real data, a WhatsApp group for anything urgent, and someone who retypes orders into the accounts system every evening. The fix is often a piece of software built around how that business really works.
The trouble is that commissioning software is hard. Contracts leave the code with the supplier, juniors do the work seniors sold, and nobody shows you working software until it is too late to change it.
We built Fixology to do the opposite: senior developers on every project, the code in your hands from day one, and working software every two weeks.

What we believe
Clarity over jargon
If we cannot explain what we are building in two sentences, we do not understand it well enough to build it. Every decision is written down and every risk is said out loud.
Own it, do not rent it
You should be able to fire us and keep everything. Code in your repository, hosting in your name, IP assigned to you. If a supplier’s business model depends on you not being able to leave, that tells you something.
Working software beats status reports
You see the real thing on a test link every two weeks. Not slides, not a percentage complete, the actual software with your data in it.
Boring technology, on purpose
We pick tools that will still be supported in ten years and that any competent developer can maintain. Novelty is a problem you inherit later.
Tell people when they do not need us
If an off-the-shelf product will do the job, we say so. It loses us a project and earns us a reputation, which is a good trade.
A senior person on every call
You talk to the developer who will lead your build, from the first call to launch. Not an account manager reading from a script.

Where we work
We work with clients across the UK. Most of the day-to-day happens over video calls and a shared Slack or Teams channel, with workshops in person at your offices when they add value: discovery sessions, user testing and launch days.
